Meet Millie Cadden, who is actively pursuing her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and brings a diverse professional background to her role as a Primary Therapist. With a B.A. in Social Entrepreneurship, she has worked in various capacities, including teaching at a school for children with autism, supporting survivors of sex trafficking, and volunteering in a women’s prison to facilitate trauma-focused writing workshops. Alongside her professional experiences, her passion has been connecting with people through their stories, offering support, and providing a safe, non-judgmental space for healing. At our Tennessee location, Millie leads group sessions and manages an individual caseload, focusing on creating inclusive environments where clients can celebrate their successes and find support on hard days. She values psychoeducational approaches but finds process groups particularly impactful for fostering connection and community through shared experiences.
Guided by empathy and a solution-oriented mindset, Millie helps clients set meaningful goals that promote lasting positive change. Her approachable, extroverted nature makes her a “stranger to none,” fostering trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike. Inspired by the belief that “shame dies when stories are told in safe places,” she strives to cultivate spaces where self-healing can develop as well as prosper.
Outside of work, Millie enjoys frequenting farmers’ markets, cooking for loved ones, exploring the outdoors with her dogs, kayaking, reading, attending concerts, and traveling. She is happiest when surrounded by her favorite people and cheering on her team—Roll Tide!
