About Raymond

Meet Raymond Blackwell, a dedicated addiction counselor with over a decade of experience helping individuals on their path to recovery. Licensed as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Tennessee since 2020, Raymond brings more than 20 years of combined experience across church ministries, social services, and work with special populations and individuals actively struggling with addiction.

In his role, Raymond provides both individual and group counseling, tailoring each treatment plan to meet clients where they are in their personal process of change. Grounded in the principles of Motivational Interviewing, he equips clients with tools and interventions designed to guide them toward a successful, sustainable sober lifestyle.

Raymond is driven by a deep passion for witnessing “light bulb” moments—those powerful shifts in awareness and perspective. He remains humbled by the process, believing his role is simply to encourage clients toward the light switch, not flip it for them.

Outside of his professional life, Raymond finds balance and purpose through his faith, his loving wife, and their two beautiful daughters. They are the foundation of his world—and with them, everything else makes sense.
