Meet Stephanie Lewis, who began her journey in the substance abuse field ten years ago at a non-profit drug and alcohol facility, starting as a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS). As an RSS, she recognized her passion for counseling and decided to pursue further education to become a therapist, aiming to advance her career within the organization. Over time, she earned a multitude of degrees and eventually transitioned to a for-profit organization to share her gifts as well as experiences.
Initially, Stephanie served as a primary therapist specializing in young males, gradually assuming the role of clinical supervisor for the young adult male program. After a period, she transitioned to oversee female programming, encompassing young adult women, older adult women, and trauma programming for women within the facility. After more than two years in this capacity, she was promoted to Clinical Director, responsible for managing clinical programming across the entire facility.
After serving as Clinical Director for over two and a half years, Stephanie shifted her focus to outpatient care and currently serves as the Executive Director for Epiphany Wellness Centers. She is enthusiastic about this new chapter and looks forward to leveraging her expertise and decade-long experience in the field. Additionally, she holds an LCSW in Pennsylvania and currently maintains an LSW in New Jersey. Stephanie has progressed from an RSS to an Executive Director in the substance abuse field, achieving significant growth and accumulating extensive knowledge along the way. Through her roles, she has successfully managed large teams and imparted valuable leadership skills to others.
Stephanie is aligned with the mission and goals of the company and is thrilled to contribute to its success. The core values of the organization resonate deeply with her. She prioritizes focusing on solutions, showing up consistently, and taking decisive action to implement impactful changes in clients’ lives.
Her personal journey in long-term recovery has ignited a deep passion for this field. She derives immense fulfillment from assisting individuals struggling with addiction to achieve meaningful recovery. With many family members also on their own recovery paths, she recognizes the vital role that family members and supporters play in the recovery process alongside the individual. This belief underscores her commitment to comprehensive and supportive recovery environments.
Stephanie thoroughly enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially with her two young sons, aged 1 and 3, and her husband. Some of their favorite activities include taking day trips and spending time at the beach.
